A bad odour, dirt, infections and ticks can be a pain for our pets as well as for us. So when I got Himalaya Erina EP Powder as a gift from http://www.marshallspetzone.com/, I was more than happy.
I have used this for 4-5 times and can now give a decent feedback. Lets see how it performed.
This powder comes in a cylindrical plastic bottle with Himalaya's regular brand look. Its convenient to use and is spill-proof. It costs INR 120 for a 150 gm pack.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Himalaya Erina-EP powder assists in effective control of various parasites like ticks, fleas, mites and lice. An ayurvedic product, it can also be used for the general welfare of the skin and coat of your pet dog. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties protect the skin against various bacteria and fungi. Himalaya Erian-Ep powder helps in maintaining the overall hygiene of your dog’s skin.
COMPOSITION:
Extracts
– Nimba (Melia azadirachta)* 100mg, Sarapunkha (Tephrosia purpurea)#
75 mg, Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia)# 75 mg, Vacha (Acorus calamus)* 50
mg (*API, #Bhava Prakasha)
BENEFITS :
Himalaya Erina-EP Powder has insecticidal, insect repellent, anti-fungal and anti-microbial characteristics. The powder would not only kill the parasites from the skin and coat of the dog but would also act as a repellent against houseflies. Skin problems caused by bacteria or fungi are also tackled by the ayurvedic powder; on the whole, the powder supports the general good health of the skin and coat of your dog.
Himalaya Erina EP Powder has a peachy white color due to the presence of Sandalowood and has a sandalwood fragrance which is quite appealing.
I brush my pet thoroughly and then take this powder in my palms and rub them on the coat of my pet liberally. I let it sit for 10-15 minutes so that it absorbs all the dirt and oil from the body and coat. I just brush it again to remove the dirt and excess powder.
My pet smells nicely of sandalwood after this excercise and feels refreshed. I am not sure if it keeps the ticks away or not but if you are unable to give regular bath to your pet, you may use this powder to clean him and keep him away from odours. I use this twice a week as both me and my pet enjoys this.
